As we approach the last quarter of 2023, I’ve been considering a lot how to use this quarter. I used to think about how I’m going to end the year, but now I’m switching focus to how I’m going to start 2024.

Seems a bit early? Not really, let me give you an example. Let’s say you've decided that in 2024 you're going to offer consulting services - if you take a course and start preparing now in quarter 4, then by the first day of 2024 you can start your launch!

There's no greater momentum than that, as you're creating a situation in advance for a seamless transition.

So with this in mind, I decided to make my focus plans for the coming year.

I think this is a great way to really hit the ground running in the new year because you can spend the last quarter ‘prepping’ and therefore you're already making progress. Your decision will literally get you ahead of the game.

2024 for me will be big, and that’s why I’m starting to prepare now, for the sizeable yet very exciting changes to come!

Things have changed since I created some of my courses and I’m using some really exciting new techniques in the arenas of marketing, systems and more that I want to share with you and build into my existing courses, which is why I will start my planning and preparing of these in quarter 4 (this year), so when I hit January I’ll be ready to move forward with these updates for you.

Which best describes you?

To share a bit of my plan with you, I’m going to be focussing on going through 5 courses in particular when it comes to my updates, and I'll be working more on ways to help you find your perfect course for your perfect next step:

Freelancer

The foundation of the 1nSourcing structure is generally The Freelancer, which is best suited to anyone who is just starting out. It’s also really ideal for people who want to have a lifestyle where they can be super-flexible. The Freelancer could be someone who wants to make some income doing what they enjoy, who loves the freedom of working for themselves, so they can travel or backpack, or make a bit of a side income. 

Supporter

The Supporter is best suited to those who are maybe lacking a bit in self-confidence when it comes to going into business, or simply prefer to not have the responsibility of growing the business. Maybe marketing, social media, and outreach are just not your thing, or maybe you feel uncomfortable not having more of a stable income and value the comfort of a more regular, ‘know what you’re doing’ kind of work. You may also prefer working with others as opposed to alone. 

Entrepreneur

The Entrepreneur is for those who are really looking to experiment with being a business owner and seeing how far you can take it. You aren’t afraid of the idea of scaling and you know when the workload gets too much, it doesn’t have to stop there, as you can start hiring your own team and expanding even further with their help. This is also great if you want to really quit the 9-5 and make a full living for yourself or support a family. You can maybe introduce a partner or spouse in, and use it as a basis to live a lifestyle of your choosing, because as the saying goes, many hands make light work! 

Consultant

The Consultant is perfect for when you feel you have enough experience under your belt in some way, shape or form to begin guiding and advising others. You’re organised and can create structured plans or strategies, or perhaps you've worked with a variety of people and can take the lead on projects and help implement them. This is the flexibility model where you can really start charging for results and not just tasks, so it adds on perfectly to any existing service business or as a transition position.

Business

The Business is for confident creatives! You might like working with people but maybe not so much with clients, or maybe your lifestyle doesn’t fit well with committing to ongoing work, so you want to shift away from the one-to-one model and head into the one-to-many. This will allow you to expand out even further into the world or products, which might be educational, or resourceful, but it will allow you to step back from the meetings and the daily client work, and step into a newfound freedom where you can turn your daily activity toward marketing, and because of it’s passive nature, you maybe even work into a well deserved sabbatical. 

These make up the core parts of an online service business and can really help you get organised and structured in your approach to your virtual assistant business and how you grow it.
