Friday, June 08, 2012

This post comes with a warning – it’s a rant (more like a public vent, but if you read my blog you’ll know most of the time I come in peace) about the sad little souls who hate. I know my regular readers don’t come here for rants, it’s not me, I never generally do negative posts, and this is the last time you’ll hear from me on this subject (well, that’s my intention) – but it’s got to be done this week, why? I don’t know, just because… Here goes!

Easter In Crete – Feast My Friends, For Tomorrow We Work!

Tuesday, April 17, 2012

On Sunday, I had so much planned to catch up on and do; I have projects I need to finish and personal deadlines I wanted to meet, but on Saturday morning we were invited to a party of sorts, it was the Greek Orthodox Easter Sunday here on Crete and the neighbours were having a gathering next door to celebrate with a feast. Monday, April 18, 2011

If you have ever in your life had the inclination to travel, to change your circumstances, or you feel that the world is a place full of bright ideas, exciting opportunities and life changing choices, I think you will understand where I am coming from here. This post is inspired by one of my favourite books, “The Art of Non Conformity“. I would like to start this article off with bit of background info on how I started working online. It was back in 2005, and I jumped straight in at the deep end and decided to travel after quitting my 9-5, commute 3 hours a day job. After I made my decision to live abroad, I of course knew that I would have to work as well, money doesn’t grow on trees, and despite the fact you can live very economically abroad depending on where you are, you most certainly can’t live for free.

A Life Lesson I Learnt From My Time In Egypt, On Gratitude And Perspective

Friday, April 08, 2011

I never realised how much in my life I took for granted, and how many things I often complained about over a glass of wine in the local wine bar on my lunch breaks with the girls from work. The fact is, back then, I was completely oblivious to any kind of “real” problems, or “actual” suffering. I then left the comfort of the wine bar life, and spent over 2 years living on the east bank of the river Nile in Luxor, Egypt.
