How To Adapt ‘Sizzle Makes Sales’ To Your Virtual Assistant Business

Michelle Dale - Monday, November 08, 2010

There are very few people who get me excited about things that don’t naturally excite me. But when they do, I always find it intriguing and I think how I could possibly get people excited about my own business in the same way. Here are a few examples:

Wine.

I like to drink wine, but I never considered the ‘type’ of wine I was drinking much — I knew red, white, rose and that was about the extent of it. But since watching Gary Vaynerchuk’s Wine Library TV, I have seen this in a whole new light…

Cooking.

I’m not much of a cook, I enjoy a good meal but I am not a connoisseur – but after watching several seasons of kitchen nightmares and seeing how Gordon Ramsay has the ability to get me excited about home made pasta and a piece of cod — I am again, amazed that people can have that effect on me, just simply by being passionate about what they’re talking about. I often sit there thinking, “Well, this must be good if someone else can get so excited about it.” Then as any normal consumer will do… I go and try it.

These people are gifted at making their business SIZZLE — and “sizzle” makes sales – seriously.

  • So what can you do right now to make your VA business sizzle?
  • How can you get people excited about you in the same way?
  • Why will people choose your VA services over other VA services offering the same thing?

At the end of the day, a cod is a cod and wine comes from a grape… but it’s how you sell it, how you talk about it, and the way that you make people feel about it that is the key to creating a positive impact.

Try to think of all the clever, appealing, attractive and creative ways you can market your VA services, and show people that their experience with your business will be thoroughly interesting, and not drab in any way.

Seriously, it’s what the world needs, and it’s what people are searching for — they want something different, and they want it to provoke a feeling of excitement within them.

Why would people choose “The Ritz” over “The Travel Inn”, why do people choose “Gap” over “Primark”? — It’s all in the quality and delivery of the product. Be unique, be innovative, and sell your services the way Gordon Ramsay sells his food – through excitement and passion for who you are and what you do – no matter what it is.
