Friday, October 15, 2010

Having worked online now for quite some time, and also just starting to venture into the world of VA training, it never fails to surprise me, how many different “types” of Virtual Assistants there are out there. Reasons Why You Need To Raise Your Virtual Assistant Rates Today!

Tuesday, October 05, 2010

Transcription: Today, this blog was inspired by a young lady who wrote to me who is a virtual assistant and has been doing it actually for a number of years but has felt that she’s degrading herself with the rate that she is charging and would like to raise it.  She doesn’t want to raise it a little.  She wants to raise it a lot, a significant amount of money, per hour.  She’s asking my advice.  She’s also said that she’s been aware that her services haven’t been quite up to scratch recently and it’s probably why she’s a little bit hesitant.  Thank you for sending that question in and I’d be happy to help you.

Monday, October 04, 2010

This video is inspired by several comments I’ve had on the blog from new VAs looking to start a VA business and want to know exactly where they get started.  Also, I had an email this week from a woman who’s been telecommuting and working from home for a particular client for a while now and is looking to expand her VA business and she basically said that, to be honest, she’s looking where to start.

How Comments Could Sink Your Virtual Assistant Business

Friday, October 01, 2010

I am writing this after following a really viral blog post over on Chris Ducker’s site, Virtual Business Lifestyle. The response he had was amazing, but what really caught my attention was the number of Virtual Assistants voicing their opinions on it. Now it’s not the opinions that surprise me, but it’s the way they went about voicing them which left me with a dropped jaw!

Thursday, September 30, 2010

Transcription Of Video:

One thing that is actually asked of me quite a lot is “do I need any formal qualifications to be a virtual assistant?” Well, if you do then I wouldn’t be a virtual assistant because I don’t have any formal qualifications. I’m going to be completely honest with you now. I actually left school and I left home when I was 16 years old and I never took any further education from there.
