I was watching a movie last night on FMTV (it's like Netflix for the body and soul... totally awesome!)
It was called, "The Power of the Heart" and was a mix of both science and spiritual takes on this incredible internal organ that keeps us alive, and one of the guys being interviewed said, "I take a moment to show gratitude, and that includes Love and Appreciation for myself."
That really hit me... We hear all the time about loving ourselves the way we are (that's nothing new, and easier said than done for many) but how often do we sit back and actually "appreciate" ourselves?
If you're someone who easily rests your attention on all the things you haven't done, or did wrong, or the things you feel guilty over or all the things you should do differently, then please take a moment today to focus on what you should also be appreciating about who you are!
Are you an attentive parent? Do you keep a roof over your head and pay the bills? Are you an awesome boss, brother, sister, friend, son, daughter? A great cook? Handy around the house? Have you accomplished anything in life, no matter how big or small? Do you always pull through? Do you get the job done?
If you'd like to be appreciated (who doesn't?), the first step is appreciating yourself, and you can take 2 minutes for yourself, and start right now.
What do you appreciate about you?
