How To Handle Potential Client Conflicts Regarding Pricing In Your Virtual Assistant Business

Wednesday, March 30, 2011

I had an email this week from a VA who was feeling really low about a client who had come on her live chat facility to take the time out of his day to tell her that her rates were too high. After I read the context, and the full conversation between the VA and the chat person, the first thing I said was, “He is an idiot, brush it off.” (and I don’t use the word idiot very often, especially when I don’t know the person personally) and the second thing I said was that I would do a post on the blog this week about how to handle that issue, along with a couple of others, and here it is.

How To Secure Clients Within Social Situations For Your Virtual Assistant Business, By Speaking Their Language

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

One of the brilliant things about working online as a Virtual Assistant is that you get to work one-on-one with so many different and amazing people. They come from all different walks of life, countries, backgrounds and they all have different levels of skills and experience. One of the things that all these people have in common is that they can work with a VA. No matter how different they all are, no matter what their business is, a VA could have a place in it.

3 Pros and 3 Cons To Being A Baseless Digital Nomad

Monday, March 21, 2011

For a long time now, several years in fact, myself, my husband and our 2 kids have been “baseless” meaning that we don’t have a permanent base, and we are currently doing the digital nomad thing, travelling around. Whilst this may seem pretty cool, and in all honesty it is, like everything it has it’s pros and cons. So if you are considering becoming “baseless” you may want to consider these few things which I have discovered along the way before you make a final decision.

How Being A Virtual Assistant Can Change And Evolve Through Natural Progression

Friday, March 18, 2011

I felt like having a ramble on the post today. This video is about the progression which happened to me going from offering VA services as a Solo-VA, and how the business and my VA role in the business evolved, over time, it’s a personal experience, not applicable to everyone, it depends on your business model, but it may be useful for you to see how things changed for me naturally over a period of time.

How To Start A Successful Virtual Assistant Business – Deciding Which Mentor Is Right For You

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

This post was prompted by 2 events which happened over the last week or so. The first event was the question posted on my Facebook Fan page, and the second event was a post on my VA Apprentice forum from one of the members who is in the beta testing of the course – we have recently completed Module 6, and the 7th and final module goes live on Monday. As part of the course we fully implement a new website for each member, and go through the step-by-step process of how to develop a VA business, as quickly as possible. Well, I am pleased to say that along with several other successes with the members, the forum post at the end of this article really hit home for me when I think back to what I was hoping to achieve as a mentor.

How To Stop Being The Bottleneck Of Your Virtual Assistant Business – Using A Multi-VA Business Model

Wednesday, March 09, 2011

When expanding your VA business from “just yourself” to a multi-VA company, it takes a natural progression, you first need to think about outsourcing work that you don’t need to do yourself or that which can be easily handed over, and before you know it, more of your time is free to concentrate on growth and development, you end up taking in more business, and as a result, the person you hired to help is at capacity, so you take on another and another…

Running A Six Figure Virtual Assistant Company – How Much Time Does It Really Take?

Monday, March 07, 2011

I received a comment over the weekend on one of my blog posts which was from a fellow virtual assistant, and she was asking me a really brilliant question, “What I’d really like to know though, is how many hours do you average nowadays? I really wonder is it possible to achieve and maintain a 6-figure income, mostly online, without working huge hours?“
