I was doing some thinking today about how sometimes as people we're rather hard on ourselves.
I’m sure at some point or another you’ve been guilty of this, perhaps said you’re not good enough, or made a mistake which makes you feel like a bad person, or you did someone wrong in some way, or you feel you aren’t enough in a particular way - pretty enough, smart enough, thin enough, fat enough, kind enough, tough enough…. Any other enough.
Well I do it too, and sometimes it’s linked to that need or pressure to always do everything ‘right’ or get it ‘perfect’ - well the fact is, right and perfect aren’t a destination, they're simply a matter of opinion (and perspective).
So be a little kinder to yourself today! Why not focus on all the wonderful things about you, because there are many, and if you can’t find one, just ask a friend or family member what they love about you and they'll tell you how special you are to them.
Start telling yourself a different story and see how much of a difference it can make to your day and how you feel (about everything).
