You May As Well Struggle In Happiness

Michelle Dale - Wednesday, October 12, 2016

When you have a dream to move to another country (or anywhere else really) because you're so unhappy where you're at, then the first step of the plan is usually to build a business in order to achieve that dream - I have to say, I don't fully agree with the order of the priorities.

The fact is, going after a dream is rarely easy, if it was you'd be there by now, we would all just think up what we wanted and make it happen.

If you're not used to manifesting, or struggle with the concept of knowing 'how', your logical thinking will kick up a fuss and tell you the sensible thing to do is play it safe, stay put, build the business and the income... and then move.

But wait, there's a problem here. Why does logic tend to dictate that it's better to build a business where you're at (where you're unhappy), as opposed to the the place you're dreaming of being?

Fear.... Afraid of being broke pretty much sums it up, so if you're afraid of failing, and you're not absolutely determined to succeed no matter what, then why even bother? Just stay where you are.

Either way you're broke, if you leave, you may end up financially broke, I say "MAY" because it's an uncertainty. But if you stay you will for sure end up emotionally broke, if you're not already, and that's much worse, trust me on that.

You have to be determined to succeed no matter what, and really mean it - you can't be saying it to make yourself feel better, along with a bunch of excuses at the end e.g. "I'm determined to succeed, but I have to replace my regular income first" or "I'm determined to succeed, but I need more time"...

Lose the but, and just go for it!

You'll build a business infinitely faster in a happy place, than you will from a place of unhappiness. So why not find happiness and then build the business in that state of mind, instead of the one you're in now?

This is for you if you have the guts for it, but don’t be despondent - it’s rare that people feel they could or want to do this - although if you have adventure coursing through your veins, if you're absolutely going to take control of your life and refuse to continue to allow chance circumstances to control your daily existence from one day to the next, then you've got an excellent shot at success!

And if you're not going to step up to the plate, then make that clear to yourself so you can stay where you are, but please don't complain about it - the best thing you can do from there, is try and find some happiness in your current surroundings.

Harsh? Maybe, but sometimes the truth hurts, or makes us feel uncomfortable. I'm not here to pat you on the head and tell you you're going to succeed if you try moving before you've built the business, but what I can tell you is, you're going to feel more alive than you ever have before if you do take the decision to pursue your dreams - isn't that alone worth stepping into the unknown for?
