Playing it cool with Pat Flynn, and other stories...

Michelle Dale - Saturday, September 30, 2017

So it's been a couple of weeks since I got back from Portugal, and as I sit here getting ready to travel to Barcelona next week to speak at 7in7, I have to say I took a moment to reflect and I really had an awesome time. I held a workshop at DNX Global, which is one of the biggest, actually I think it is the biggest Digital Nomad event in the world.

I wanted to share with you some highlights from my time there, just for fun ;-)

#1 - Pat Flynn!

IDOL ALERT! I've known about Pat Flynn for a long time now (who hasn't?) and always admired his work from afar, so you can imagine how completely stoked I was to be sitting at a dinner table with him. He's adorable, very 'down to earth' and incredibly kind, we took a selfie (check), I bought him a cocktail at the after party (check) and we got to hang out (check).

I played it cool the whole time in order not look like a 14 year old at a Take That concert in the 90's...

And yeah it's pretty sweet when you end up in his vlog, {albeit accidentally}, drinking red wine, and then later handing him a cocktail (I know it was me, I recognise the scarf I bought while visiting Santorini at 12 minutes into the video) but now I kind of look a bit like a boozer - we did more than drink ;-) ha ha. I mean nothing like that... uhh this is coming out wrong.

Next...

#2 - German Clients

I've had the honour of working directly with some German clients with my bilingual team including Ka Sundance who was speaking and Feli and Marcus who are the entrepreneurs behind the event - I was just SO happy to get to meet these guys in person.

#3 - Virtual Assistants

I got to meet some VAs! Some from my team, some from my tribe and even one who was also at the Bali event party that Danielle Greason and I hosted in May this year. Plus I realise now my brand Virtual Miss Friday is way more well known than myself personally, which was kind of cool! I would introduce myself as Michelle Dale (nobody knows) then when I revealed the website it was "Ohhh, you're Virtual Miss Friday, I know you!" - yeah for real.

#4 - New Friends

In addition to meeting people I knew, I met people I didn't and I've made, I feel some awesome new friends, Jason Moore (Great bloke, I think I can definitely call him my favourite, and such a cool sense of humour), Jules Schroeder - Beautiful lady inside and out with an incredible story, Marianne Cantwell, Tal Gur, Jackie Knetchel and so many more incredible people (sorry if I missed you off this post!)

Being an all online kind of girl, this experience made me realise I need to get out from behind the laptop a bit more often ;-)

After the event I had several prospects come through my Consulting Funnel, and if you're not familiar with my consulting then I have something very cool to share with you! I'm hosting a webinar on October 4th and it's dedicated to how I do my online business consulting, and next week, one of my new clients who came through via my consulting is flying in to Barcelona to meet me - yeah, it's pretty sweet.
