I Owe You An Explanation

Wednesday, October 28, 2015

You may notice it's been a little while since my last post - well a lot has happened and to be honest I needed to take a 'time out' to regroup from the non-critical aspects of my business (entrepreneurs don't ever get to close the door, or shutdown, but we do get to rearrange and prioritise). Well regrouped I have done and I wanted to explain to you why this all came about. It's also a bit of a tribute...

Gaining VA Experience With The Leader and Learner Relationship

Thursday, September 03, 2015

In an ideal world we'd all decide to start a business and have 'built-in" experience. Perhaps if we could order experience like we do a cup of coffee, we'd all be doing instantly well, but the fact is nobody is born with experience, and if we want to succeed at anything in life, the need for experience of some kind is pretty much a given.

Action Taking Virtual Assistants Share Their Inspiring Stories

Thursday, August 13, 2015

So we're about halfway into the month and I'm cooking up a virtual storm for my new product courses. I wanted to go the extra mile this time around so last week I held a giveaway, it was to really give credit where it's due to the people who've taken my Roadmap programmes and courses and applied it to their business, so we asked our members "what's the biggest success you've had from the Roadmap" and as I suspected, positive action really has equalled results.

Niche Myth: Expand Your Foundation, Find Balance, Increase Earnings

Thursday, August 06, 2015

One of the key things I've learnt over the years to having a consistent growing income is to increase the earning potential of my VA business, either through passive income, multiple income streams, scalability or simply being able to improve my skill set and expand what I'm able to offer. By having that kind of open flexibility with my services, clients will almost always come to me first and ask if I'm able to help them with a project or task, before they begin looking elsewhere. I can then either confirm I'm able, or pass the client onto a more suitable service provider.

My Content Curators Dropped A Virtual Bomb This Week

Friday, July 24, 2015

This week Swayy.co, my content curators dropped a bomb and said they'd merged with another company, and were closing down my content curation system which I absolutely love - and share with often, with just a few days notice. This left me in a position of having only a few days to figure out where I was going to curate my clients' content from. Eek!

Agency or Virtual Assistant? The Decision Making Process For Clients

Friday, July 17, 2015

Whilst sat in my office at 1am last night with my husband, I was having an interesting conversation with him (actually I was talking at him a bit but he's a good listener) about agencies and VAs and the differences between them. He said to me, 'you should be recording this' and whilst in all honesty I couldn't be bothered at that time, I thought I'd share some of these thoughts in a blog post.

A Digital Nomad In Crisis #GREXIT

Wednesday, July 08, 2015

Travelling or living permanently abroad for me is a blessing, one I'm thankful for every day, but you have to learn to take the rough with the smooth. We've been in and around Crete now for a while, we absolutely love it here, and even after a stint last year in my favourite location, Egypt, we decided to return back here to the island. But has Paradise fallen?

The Doctor or The Dinner Lady - Who's More Successful?

Thursday, June 25, 2015

How we define success is very much shaped by society. I remember when I was young, all I could focus on was career, independence - Income... I thought success was directly related to my bank balance, my home and its contents and my car. On a mentorship call I was holding with a group of people on my Rockstar programme I recently used the analogy of the Doctor and the Dinner Lady, I wanted to share this with you.

Potential Clients Don't Seem To Want My Services - Do I Change Them?

Thursday, June 18, 2015

Being a Virtual Assistant is a challenge in the current age of technology. On the one hand we're spoilt for choice with all the systems and services we can potentially offer clients, because online technology is booming, and on the other hand we can't learn everything, which may cause us to feel like we're alienating a client base.
