Last year's retreat was in Bali, Indonesia. You can check out the video below to see the kind of vibe we go for ;-)
In October 2018, Danielle Greason and I will be hosting, for the second time, a retreat designed for virtual assistants and other online service providers, or those who are enamoured with freedom!
This year, we're hosting the retreat from my home, in El Gouna, Egypt.
Where is El Gouna, Egypt?
El Gouna is a purpose built private city located on the Red Sea in Egypt, in the Hurghada region.
How can I join the Retreat?
There are still places available for our 4 day programme, which this year is on "The Art of Doing Less, to Achieve More" - a concept Danielle and I have been devoting ourselves to for many years.
Freedom, in every sense of the word, both personally and professionally, through working with our inherent abilities, that are within you too! and understanding how to build true success - without stress, struggle or worry.
You can learn more about what we're teaching here:
You'll have full access to the programme, co-working space, lunch daily, and our awesome finale beach party!
During the mornings we'll hold content sharing sessions, in the afternoons, we'll provide practical tools and exercises to give you a tangible plan you can take away with you to start you on the path to personal & professional success.
How can I book flights?
I recommend using Kayak.com for flight bookings, or another search engine that uses multiple airlines to find the best deals.
The airport you fly into is Hurghada (HRG) and there are many international direct flights, although you may need to go via Cairo with a connecting flight, depending on where you're flying in from.
Our programme starts on the morning of Sunday, 7th October, so plan to arrive on Saturday, 6th October (or before) with accommodation booked from that night. The final day of the programme is Wednesday, 10th October. We'll be hosting the Beach Club Party from the afternoon into the late evening, so if you're able to stay, you can have accommodation booked for the night of the 10th too, with check out on Thursday, 11th October.
If you do need to leave earlier, you can book your return flight for late evening on Wednesday 10th.
We do advise you to be a responsible traveller and pick up some travel insurance when you book your flight!
Do I need a VISA?
Yes, but this is very easy to acquire. When you fly into Egypt you will be given a small card to complete with your details. When you land in Egypt, as you're moving to your connecting flight, or heading towards passport control, you'll need to purchase a VISA. Both Cairo and Hurghada airports have 'banks' just before passport control, so you can go to one of those, purchase a VISA for 30 days on entry (this is around 25 USD / EUR or 450 LE) - and, you can also exchange cash while you're there as well.
You don't need to do anything VISA-wise until you get to Egypt. The process is quick and very easy.
Where can I stay?
There are many hotels and resorts inside El Gouna, however my favourite for location and access to the Co-working space is Rihanna 3 Corners, and it's very well priced at under a few hundred British pounds for the stay, and includes bed and breakfast.
Other options include Panorama Bungalows, Movenpick, Ancient Sands and Sheraton Miramar.
Is Egypt safe?
This is always an interesting question.
I have the luxury of living anywhere I want & I personally wouldn't live anywhere I didn't feel safe. There are certain parts of Egypt that I wouldn't go to, but there are also certain parts of London and New York I wouldn't go to.
I choose to live here with my 3 children, and it's a very peaceful and happy existence that I'm looking forward to sharing with you :-)
